My Kitchen : Veg Shalgam - Turnip Curry (72nd Serv)

Recipe: Vej Shalgam (Turnip Curry)



Ingredients:

- 4-5 medium-sized turnips, stripped and cut into little solid shapes
- 1 cup green peas (new or frozen)
- 2 medium-sized onions, finely cleaved
- 2 medium-sized tomatoes, finely cleaved
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, ground
- 2 green chilies, cut (acclimate to your flavor inclination)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red stew powder (change in accordance with your zest inclination)
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt to taste

   - Add the cubed turnips and green peas to the container. Blend well in with the tomato masala.
   - Add around 1/2 cup of water to help the vegetables cook and cover the dish with a top.
   - Cook on low to medium intensity, blending periodically, until the turnips and peas are delicate. This ought to require around 15-20 minutes. Add more water if necessary.

6. Finishing Touch:
   - When the turnips are delicate and cooked, add garam masala and change salt as indicated by your taste.
   - Cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to merge together.

7. Garnish and Serve:
