🥟 Mini Veg Samosa in Air Fryer
Ingredients:
For the filling:
- 2 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)
- ½ cup green peas (boiled)
- 1 small carrot (grated or finely chopped)
- 1 green chili (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp amchur (dry mango powder)
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp oil
- Fresh coriander (chopped)
For the wrapper:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1 tbsp oil or ghee
- Salt to taste
- Water (to knead dough)
Optional shortcut: Use readymade samosa pattis or spring roll sheets cut in half.
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough:
- Mix flour, salt, and oil. Rub well until crumbly.
- Add water slowly and knead into a stiff dough.
- Cover with a damp cloth and rest for 20 minutes.
2. Make the Filling:
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds, ginger paste, and green chili.
- Add carrots, sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add mashed potatoes and peas.
- Mix in turmeric, garam masala, amchur, and salt.
- Cook for 3–4 mins. Add coriander. Cool completely.
3. Assemble Mini Samosas:
- Roll small dough balls into oval/round sheets.
- Cut each in half. Shape into cones by sealing edges.
- Fill with 1 tsp of filling. Seal the edges with water.
4. Air Fry:
- Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes.
- Brush samosas lightly with oil or ghee.
- Place in air fryer basket (don’t overcrowd).
- Air fry at 180°C for 10–12 minutes or until golden, turning once halfway.
✅ Tips:
- For extra crispiness, air fry for 2 extra minutes at 200°C.
- You can add paneer or corn for variations.
- Serve with green chutney or tamarind chutney.
