1. Chicken Curry (Indian Style)
Ingredients:
- 500g chicken (with bone)
- 2 onions (finely chopped)
- 2 tomatoes (pureed)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- Spices: turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder
- Salt, oil, fresh coriander
Method:
- Heat oil, sauté onions till golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, cook till raw smell goes.
- Add tomato puree and spices, cook till oil separates.
- Add chicken, mix well and cook for 5-6 mins.
- Add water, cover and cook until chicken is soft.
- Garnish with coriander and serve hot with rice or roti.
2. Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani)
Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken (marinated with yogurt, red chili, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tomatoes (pureed)
- Cream, kasuri methi, garam masala, sugar, salt
Method:
- Cook marinated chicken till done.
- In butter, cook tomato puree with spices and a pinch of sugar.
- Add chicken, simmer for 5 mins.
- Add cream and kasuri methi, mix well.
- Serve with naan or pulao.
3. Chicken Fry (Spicy South Indian Style)
Ingredients:
- 500g chicken (cut into small pieces)
- Onion, curry leaves, green chili
- Red chili powder, turmeric, pepper, garam masala
- Ginger-garlic paste, oil, salt
Method:
- Marinate chicken with spices and ginger-garlic paste.
- Cook chicken till soft (no water).
- Heat oil, fry onions, curry leaves, and add chicken.
