🥟 Mini Veg Samosa in Air Fryer

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 2 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)
  • ½ cup green peas (boiled)
  • 1 small carrot (grated or finely chopped)
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp amchur (dry mango powder)
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Fresh coriander (chopped)

For the wrapper:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (to knead dough)

Optional shortcut: Use readymade samosa pattis or spring roll sheets cut in half.


Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

  • Mix flour, salt, and oil. Rub well until crumbly.
  • Add water slowly and knead into a stiff dough.
  • Cover with a damp cloth and rest for 20 minutes.

2. Make the Filling:

  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds, ginger paste, and green chili.
  • Add carrots, sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add mashed potatoes and peas.
  • Mix in turmeric, garam masala, amchur, and salt.
  • Cook for 3–4 mins. Add coriander. Cool completely.

3. Assemble Mini Samosas:

  • Roll small dough balls into oval/round sheets.
  • Cut each in half. Shape into cones by sealing edges.
  • Fill with 1 tsp of filling. Seal the edges with water.

4. Air Fry:

  • Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes.
  • Brush samosas lightly with oil or ghee.
  • Place in air fryer basket (don’t overcrowd).
  • Air fry at 180°C for 10–12 minutes or until golden, turning once halfway.

Tips:

  • For extra crispiness, air fry for 2 extra minutes at 200°C.
  • You can add paneer or corn for variations.
  • Serve with green chutney or tamarind chutney.
